SRAM's XX1 group ushered in a new era in mountain biking. A chainring at the front and a broadly graduated sprocket block at the rear adorn many bikes from Cross Country to Allmountain. Absolute Black has developed a combination of single chainring and spider that can be mounted on any SRAM / Truvativ 3-Bolt GXP / DUB Direct Mount and Cane Creek eeWings crank. The combination is screwed directly to the crank arm. This saves weight, is very stiff and ensures a clean and individual look. A 7075 Txxx aluminum alloy ensures low wear. The chainrings have special teeth that prevent the chain from jumping off. The principle follows that of the SRAM XX1 chainrings. In conjunction with a SRAM Type2 or Shimano Shadow + rear derailleur, which have a greatly increased cage preload, the chain is reliably held in position even without a chain guide.
The ovalization of the chainring increases the performance by varying the drive train and optimizing the resistance. When kicking with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are brought into harmony. In this way, better use of the stronger muscle groups is achieved and a balance is created in the weaker muscles on the way to work (lower stroke).
This chainring is specially designed for the 148 millimeter BOOST standard. Due to the offset of 3 millimeters, the chain line optimized for the BOOST rear triangle.
Note: compatible with SRAM / Truvativ GXP / DUB and BB30 cranks . BB30 cranks are only compatible if it is the model with a longer axle . These can be recognized by the built-in 16 mm spacer on the drive side.
